This outfit reflects the cooler shades of winter - a snow-white cami with feminine embroidery peeks out from underneath a relaxed-yet-sophisticated slouchy ombre top in shades of muddied, faded aubergine. A bag as gray as a "just-about-to-snow" sky complements the dusty tones of the outfit. Black skinny pants and playful cut-out pumps take this look from casual chic to evening elegance. Accessories are kept at a minimum - just an adorable bow adorns your wrist to show that you are one great gift.

Hello, painted lady! The paint barely looks dry on this abstract-inspired top. With the perfect mix of subdued background color and contrasting unpredictable brushstrokes and pops of color, this shirt is guaranteed to draw the eye like a beautiful piece of art. Besides the bumble-bee-yellow sweater, accessories are kept simple as to not draw away from the artful top. A metal zipper on the pencil skirt and super-stacked heels on the shoes add an extra edge to the outfit. Navy blue clashes a bit with the black accessories but brings out the color in the shirt.

This look contains all the makings of a moody sophisticate. A grown-up floral-print silk dress is at the center of this elegant winter look. Its moody floral print in rich jewel tones of dark green and mauve are highlighted by a winter-white background. A cozy gray long cardigan sweater heads off the chill of a blustery winter day. Black opaque tights and sleek peep-toe booties, while not the best for trudging around in a sloppy snowy mess, give the illusion of legs that go on forever. Icy silver accessories look as fresh and sparkly as a blanket of new-fallen snow.

As gray as a rainy day in Seattle, this look is an update to the sloppy, lazy, "I didn't try too hard" early-mid-90's grunge look. Lived-in jeans and a Kurt Cobain-esque over-sized plaid shirt are at the base of this angst-inspired look. Leather accents such as buckles, bands, and necklaces mirror the sense of confinement expressed in the lyrics of grunge-era music. Cold-weather accessories - the leather jacket and cashmere hat are reminiscent of clothing worn by bands who made this sound and look popular (Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana). An updated combat boot adds sex appeal to the modern grunger. A gloomy-hued purse is added, not because the grunge-girl is told it should be, but because she had the freedom to choose to add it!!! Smells like Teen Spirit!
