I went for a light to dark gradient, starting from top to bottom, and added little *pops* of color around the edges.
I chose the feather earrings as my *natural*(ish) element to represent the naturalness of the *naked man* in the inspiration photo, and took the bag and ring colors from the little pops of color in the inspiration photo as well.
The inspiration photo had an almost halo-like light effect going on around the subject's body which is another reason why I went with the oranges and the ice blue around the edges of this look.
I focused on two things: textures and something unexpected.
I wanted to pair the boot with something that was equally as important as the boot but would compliment it and not compete with it.
The dress did that for me.
I wanted the visual lines to be simple since there was so/much/going on with the dress and the boot, so I opted for simple silver stud earrings. My goal was to have the boot blend effortlessly into the look, to look like it belonged, and to actually NOT have it as the focal point. That is where the bag comes in. It's the unexpected part, the pink, the handle, the sweet/romantic-ness of it. It kind of pulls it all together-
it sets the tone, it's the visually defining piece, it brings it all home for me.

I liked this challenge,
it was a lot of fun.
