The dress has an art deco look to it: the tent shape, the pattern on the dress, even the color combination. I wanted to keep that theme when I chose accessories. I love making shoes the focus of an outfit, so I went with this strappy, bright yellow pair by Michael Kors. To match, I chose a thin white belt by the same designer. I knew I wanted a clutch for this outfit, and I love the design of this particular one. And last, but not least, I couldn't decide which ring looked best with the outfit, so I added all three. Let me know which ring you like best.
I tried imagining what the outfit in the first picture would look like on the runway, and took that idea and merged it with how I would wear it in the real world. I kept the color theme simple, and instead went with really strong accessories. Structured tote, powerful shoes, and a cute watch.
The crochet dress reminded me of of a sort of "granny look," which is why I paired it with this particular ring. I wanted one accessory to blend in with the outfit (the purse) and the other to stand out from it, so I chose bubblegum pink pumps to give the outfit some youthfulness to contrast with the granny idea. Where would you wear it?
I hadn't noticed until now, but I match everything with gold! What can I say, it looks amazing with just about any color. I saw these shoes and fell in love with them, so I wanted to make an outfit to wear with them. The dress' shade of blue is exactly what I was looking for! Tell me what you think.
