Keith Haring: May 4, 1958 – February 16, 1990

While a bit morbid, I must admit, I can't help but remember that it is the anniversary of Keith Haring's death today.

Haring's work captivated me--both his artistic endeavors as well as his social activism, and I honor his memory and legacy with this look.

In honor of my latest published article (http://lovelleharris.wordpress.com/2010/05/20/bathroom-art/) this look is a tribute to the artist whose new art project I profiled in Sacramento News & Review.

During the day, sporting one of Jairus' wearable pieces of art (The Thrift Shop Lifters Tee), I'll hit a local cafe for a chai latte to do a bit of research on my next article.

As the sun begins to set, all I need to do is pull off the tee to reveal this cute little cami, swap out the Marc watch and satchel for a set of cute bangles and a clutch respectively then top it all off with a chic blazer and I'm ready for opening night of Jairus' latest artistic endeavor.

it's great to be back, Sonz!! i've missed you all so much but the writing gigs have kept me pretty busy and unfortunately away from my beloved ShopStyle. for some reason, i'm totally into pink jeans for summer ;-)
