When I look at these children receiving food boxes, I see pure joy on their faces. It doesn't take much to give them this joy, just simply that their basic needs are met. We in the developed world seem to require much more to make us feel joyful. I want to look at these angelic faces and remind myself that joy comes with the realization that we are blessed. There is always someone better off than us and we'd be miserable to focus on that. Simple appreciation of what we possess brings joy.

As a woman matures, she becomes more confident about herself and know what she looks good in and what just won't work for her. Michelle Obama is a clear indication of this progression. Yes, she has made some mistakes (haven't we all) but she has embraced her maturity with grace and finesse. I don't care what her critics say about her baring her toned arms; I say if you got it, flaunt it (before gravity wins its battle)!!
NOT SO GOOD NEWS: Desserts DO NOT give you toned arms :)

Madonna's Like a Virgin is the song that I had deepest impression of. We used to blush and giggle at the lyrics, secretly curious about sexuality and pretended to feign ignorance when the song came on the radio when parents were there. It was a song that was all about the taboo subject of premarital sex and not kosher at all! But we loved it and secretly danced to it :)
