I've just changed career... I used to be in the operating theatre all my working day - wearing scrubs , scrubs, and more scrubs... Accesories were banned! The only shoes allowed were .... crocs.

So, to get over it, I made a group "calling all shoe a holics" on SS. PLease join if you too are a shoe a holic. Flats, Pumps, PLatforms, Boots, we don't descriminate. Well OK, we do a bit, against the offending Rubber Shoe. But join anyway !

I also just made the "Burlesque" group to indulge my addiction to underwear that is almost as bad as the addiction to shoes.

Such a great challenge, vrhino.

My agenda is:
1.No sweatshops
2.Recycle/ Upcycle old good quality stuff and restyle it to something fabulous ( I did this for my Hen - got my mates together who hadn't done it before, and hired a room with some sewing machines, overlockers and trimmings - oh and a massive pile of old but fabulous clothes/ materials and the challenge was to go out in the outfits afterwards!) My weddings hair flowers I made & the wedding necklace was also upcycled - will find a pic...
3. buy cheap, buy twice... but I can't resist a bargain!
I have a few quality staples in the closet with loads of frou frou and accesories to change my look.
4. vintage lives forever! I know the location of every vintage shop worth its salt from here to the moon.
5. always wear divine underwear, or indulge the inner kitsch being.
6.wrap up warm. always.
This look is very like what I would wear on a study day.

Such a great challenge - never expected to get all introspective on SS!

Vintage shops are the best! a great way to recycle your wardrobe - give away and buy great replacements. Also the stuff you can find there is priceless. And I totally agree about the underwear - if you can only splurge on one item, make it a great bra and panties set! I'm glad you enjoyed the challenge, just as much as I enjoyed your look!

Who doesn´t want a bit of sparkle while working. Sometimes I dress up for work just because I feel like it. You would definitley turn a few heads if you would wear this to work. But it would be so much fun if people did. It can make my day when somebody dresses differently and glam.
