Well ladies, I am sick and tired of being bogged down at work AND having absolutely NO summer!!
So... a little dressing up ALWAYS gets me in the mood, and I propose; NEON NIGHTS... yes the more outrageous the better, who cares if you clash, thats the whole point!
I want to let my hair down, have some serious "I dont care what planet I seem to have come from" looks, and rid ourselves of these dire summer blues. This look is sheer fantasy meets what I can find to make it real, which includes a wig! So what it may not be stylish London/New York walk, but I believe that if you are comfortable in your skin, your clothes and can go out and have fun without constantly worrying about what you appear on the outside, then you have plenty enough style on the inside.
For all of you at work (and in particular Leah), I thought I would create not just a holiday, but an ADVENTURE look.
Welcome to PETRA - the rose-red city of the Nabatean people. And, the most famous image is that of its Treasury, and the first thing you see when walking down the cut out river bed.
We took this photo last year whilst there, but seriously girls, lets go and bathe in some seriously amazing historical beauty.... plus the Dead Sea minerals are great for your skin!
Leah lady, hope work isn't too too bad, and the humidity hasn't made you keel over. I picked these items out with you in mind xxx
Challenge 3 for the Rainbow gems - every time I said ruby to myself my mind kept conjuring up dark, mysterious and clouded... not sure why!
I actually think that the colour of a ruby is rather hard to mix, especially as over the years it was traditionally teamed with gold, its complimentary colour is green and it varies in shade. So without wanting to create a Christmas tree I went with dark and deep!
Naturally, it is not a vibrant "sex" red - so I wanted to modernise this ancient beauty!
I chose the raw, uncut feel, making it all a bit more edgy.
Being in the heart of the countryside allows you to really feel free, airy fairy and floral - with a sprinkling of gypsy - you can relax with some pims under a beautiful old oak.
