The original of this ingenious folding hook rack made its way to our salvage department, and then onto the wall of our web team’s office. After passing – and admiring – the rack every day, our hardware designers knew we had to reproduce it. Ideal for spots where space is tight, the hooks are hinged to fold flat, out of the way. Note the 'button' top on the upper part of each hook: it was originally designed to support fine hats without marring their contours. 6 folding hooks provide 18 hanging spaces Made of iron Mounting hardware included Imported

Common in Four Squares, Bungalows and Mission-style homes of the early 20th century, Arts & Crafts lighting could be bread-and-butter or very elevated, depending on context. Typically, Arts & Crafts designs were simpler, with square steel or brass tubing and spool-shaped bodies. A way to turn up the style would be to add rustic, nature-inspired touches, some stained, leaded or opalescent art glass, or feature heavy hand-forged wrought-iron or brass construction. There is always a strong current of symmetry and balance in the designs of the Arts & Crafts movement, taking nostalgic inspiration from idyllic agrarian villages and hand-crafted traditions, in reaction to the rapid and dehumanizing industrialization of the late Victorian era. Historical Style: Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau A simple, geometric 4-light fixture, elevated with the cast brass ornaments on each side of the body. Condition Notes: Fantastic original aged brass finish, with worn patina on all of the elements. The faceted glass shade are slightly purpled, due to the composition of the glass and exposure to light. Bulbs not included.
There are so many incredible elements on this chandelier, from the original two-tone brass and copper finish, to the decorative, dangling ornaments, to the ruffled and etched shades, this is a rare and impactful fixture. Companies like Beardslee developed lights that featured tiers of dangling ornaments, but this chandelier is unattributed. Still, it's design and well-preserved condition make it a relavent and welcome piece. Historical Style: Classical Revival Condition Notes: Nicely aged original finish – all commensurate with age and character. Bulbs not included.
