Bally is one of the oldest Swiss fashion houses in the world, and it was founded in 1851 by Carl Franz Bally. In the 1850s, Bally had a vision of pushing a modern approach to style by producing exquisite shoes that were made from the finest leather and produced through innovative craftsmanship. By 1916, the designer shoe brand became one of the first recognized shoe designer companies, and it had produced a remarkable four million pairs of designer shoes for customers.

By the 1950s, Bally men shoes had become the first shoes to conquer Mount Everest when Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing wore the Bally Reindeer-Himalaya boots on their ascent. The Bally Rominger Ski Boots were even worn by gold-medal winners during the 1948 Olympics.

Today, Bally mens' shoes have become a beloved addition to designer shoe collections, and Bally boots are a staple of winter. The popular Bally CHARLS collection was designed to recreate the legendary climb up Everest in style.

Throughout Bally's vibrant history, it has been known to team up with famous architects including Robert Mallet-Stevens, Le Corbusier, Andrée Putman, and David Chipperfield to build its iconic stores. A Bally store opening in France became such a big deal that it drew the French Prime Minister into attendance in 1928.

Bally men shoes have been worn by Charlie Chaplin, and the its Scribe oxfords are the company's best selling shoes of all time. In 1968, Bernard Villemot inked an exclusive deal with Bally to produce graphic advertisements that took the world by storm. In 2015, J. Cole collaborated with Bally in the Off the Grid campaign by releasing a limited edition boot called the JC Hiker.
In 2016, Natalie Portman won an award for her performance in Jackie, and she received it in a pair of Bally shoes.

The Bally Collective is another collaboration from Bally that was curated by award-winning producer Swizz Beatz. The collection highlights Ricardo Cavolo's electrifying art collection.
