Acne Studios was founded in 1996 by Jonny Johansson and three other guys who threw 10,000 euros into a pot and launched a fashion line with a multidisciplinary approach. Mainly inspired by photography, art, architecture, and contemporary culture, the design techniques advance toward blending modern silhouettes with structurally detailed menswear elements, allowing a sense of naivety yet toughness via geometric abstracts. The Acne Studios clothing line now encompasses men's and women's ready to wear, footwear, accessories, and premium denim. Its overall collection settles as unisex to me as I would go for menswear anytime, especially for the coats or sweaters; it doesn’t matter. After all, the current trend screams “oversize" now!
