Gwen Stefani grew up sewing clothes with her mother. Her grandmother was also a seamstress. It would follow that the rising rock star designed and sewed her own stage clothing. After constant touring, she no longer had the time to do so; she felt like a part of her was missing. She became friends with stylist Andrea Lieberman who then introduced her to the ready-to-wear business. Along with her background as a seamstress, this inspired Stefani to create her very own fashion line, introducing L.A.M.B. shoes and fashion accessories with a runway debut of the collection in 2004. Celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Paris Hilton, and Teri Hatcher began to clamber for the fashions. Stefani later launched a fashion line called Harajuku Lovers as her designs celebrating eclectic elegance continued.
