This scarf features nine Koi carp, printed onto sheer Italian silk chiffon. Koi carp and koi imagery are said to promote peace of mind and attract good luck and prosperity, and the large fish are prized and cherished pets in many parts of the world. 8 of the Koi on the scarf are red-and-white Kohaku, a classic breed and probably the most popular of all koi (some champion Kohaku are traded for millions of yen!). The 9th fish is black, this number and combination of koi is believed to be especially auspicious. When worn this scarf shows a striking pattern of grey, coral red and off white. The lightweight silk chiffon is ideal for transitional temperatures. This size can also be worn as a statement piece on a simple neutral dress. Made in Italy. Dry clean only. Can also be steamed to refresh and remove creases.
The large square scarf is printed in the 'Gothic Floral', a series of painted florals of large scale. On closer inspection winding vines filled with thorns, painting by numbers, and decaying, bleeding age marks are smattered across the print. Greyed navy tones, burned orange tones, gentle snowy flesh tones and a spectrum of magentas. The neck of the dress is bound in a shock of acid ochre. Printed and made in Italy, because fashion should not be fast. Slow down, buy less, but buy quality. 100% silk twill Made in Italy Dry clean only
A beautiful double sided long velvet scarf, of printed silk velvet. The Print 'Gothic Floral' print, is a series of painted florals of large scale. Koi print featuring eight red-and-white Kohaku plus one black koi. Printed on hand-finished Italian silk crepe de chine in the classic 90x90cm square format. The scarf print is based on a monochrome indian ink drawing. It is playing with the beliefs around Koi carp and Koi imagery, which are said to promote peace of mind and attract good luck and prosperity. The red has an orange hue, and when worn this scarf shows a striking pattern of grey, orange red and off white. Koi I features 9 koi carp, 8 of them are red-and-white Kohaku, a classic breed and probably the most popular of all koi (some champion Kohaku are traded for millions of yen!). The 9th fish is black, this number and combination of koi is believed to be especially auspicious. For the scarf I chose 100% silk crepe de chine for its sophisticated matte texture with subtle sparkle. It has a satisfying weight and drapes beautifully, and the artwork shows exceptionally well on this fabric. Silk is a naturally sturdy material, and in this quality a scarf will last a lifetime. This size is very easy to wear and adds instant chic to a simple outfit. The 90x90cm format scarf is dubbed 'the shortest path to style' by Hermà ̈s, there are lots of ways to integrate it into your wardrobe, and a silk scarf never goes out of fashion. 100% silk of Italian origin. Dry clean. Silk is a protein fibre which naturally repels dirt and hardly takes on any smells, so the scarf doesn't need to be cleaned often. Steaming the scarf works wonders - it removes all creases and also 'desinfects' it (removing potential smells and killing microorganisms), and it usually ends up looking like fresh from the cleaners. For this you can use a garment steamer or simply hold it approximately 2ft / 70cm over a boiling kettle for a few seconds (don't scold yourself in the process :) If it needs a clean, dry cleaning is recommended (lukewarm water and mild shampoo or silk/wool detergent would not damage the print, but for the feel of the silk it's still better and safer to dry clean it).

Yes, it is true, Ireland has its own coral reefs. They are not as noticeable as tropical coral reefs because they are in deeper water, and perhaps not as extensive, but they have a similar structure and richness of marine life. The coral was first discovered off Ireland in 1869 by a Royal Irish Academy and Royal Dublin Society sponsored cruise. The inspiration of the Ocean Underworld came from spectacular fluorescent colours of coral reefs. Often known as rainforest of the sea. The coral reef colours range from warm colours including red, yellow and orange and cooler colours such as green, blue and purple. These spectacular fourescent colours inspired Jennifer for this abstract print which is unique quite stunning. The print is also available in pink and grey colour version. Dry Clean Only 100% Silk
