Antique French hemp tablecloth with twelve fancy linen napkins. Made circa 1920. Remarkably there are no monograms, the tiny initials on end are the initials of the seamstress, common in good French linens (see photo). Linens are antique, recently hand-dyed in small batches in Provence, France. They are washed in lavender water and heavily starched. Minor color irregularities are normal and light spots are from ironing with heavy starch (will wash out). Tablecloth 84" x 72"; Napkins 23" x 20".
