Designed by E.F. Caldwell (see the final photo from the Smithsonian's Caldwell Archive), this captivating display of cascading crystal and cast brass would have originally featured a pair of trumpeting sea putti on the largest tier. Today, the organic "melting" brass sections and rows of dangling spears are ornamentation aplenty. The size and dazzling nature of the piece require a place of prominence – we imagine a hotel lobby or banquet hall. A stunning and sparkling relic with over 100 years of age.
