Wolf & Badger Alistair R Gemstone Drop Earrings - Aventurine
at Wolf & Badger
Product Description Simple and elegant, these green Aventurine triangle and gold plated earrings are lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day. The earring hoop is gold plated on top of nickel free silver. Aventurine is a semi precious variety of quartz sourced in India. The name Aventurine derives from the Italian 'a Ventura' meaning by chance, an apt name for a stone considered to bring luck. Green is the most common color of aventurine and Alistair R handpicked this dark green variety for its unique variegated tones. These earrings are presented in an elegant gift envelope. Through our emphasis on simple, timeless design we handcraft uniquely beautiful pieces imbued with history. Every one of our designs is made by us and hallmarked in the UK and aims to capture the alchemy and unique character of our hand selected gem and semi precious stones. Alistair Wright set up Alistair R in 2009. Inspired by a set of moonstone and gold cufflinks, a family heirloom of timeless quality, and a lifelong interest in gemstones and geology, Alistair left the corporate world behind to train in stone carving and goldsmithing, launching initially with a range of cufflinks. It was not long before he was asked to incorporate his designs into necklaces and other jewelry, and so the range has grown, always reflecting our passion for natural materials and the desire for simple, striking and uncluttered design. Using ethically sourced rough stone alongside stone we find in the wild we carve simple forms to show the beauty of the natural material. All of our jewelry is put together by hand and finished in our Northern Irish workshop.
